COMPARE STARZ TIP®
WITH OTHERS

There are a lot of reasons to make the switch to Starz Tipz® disposable air/water syringe tips.
Whether you are currently using metal air water syringe tips or some other brand of disposable air water syringe tip, Starz Tipz® is the right choice.

METAL-TIP® VS STARZ TIPZ®

YOU HAVE SELECTED

NO AIR WATER SYRINGE ADAPTER REQUIRED

METAL TIP

  • Made entirely of stainless steal.

  • Impossible to fully clean inside of air water syringe tip. The inside of air water syringe tip is not anodized, causing corrosion during autoclaving process.

  • Metal air water syringe tips come with multiple air channels (4, 5, 6)

  • Can re-use air water syringe tip after completing sterilization process.

  • Metal Tips, for infection control protocols, are not the best solution for any dentist, orthodontist, or hygienist. There is no absolute way to fully sterilize metal air water syringe tips. Metal tips corrode on the inside creating fissures where biofilm and bioburden then get baked into the air water syringe tip.

    PROS

  • Uses standard air water syringe delivery systems.

  • Autoclavable for sterilization required in certain surgical procedures.

  • Can be re-used after autoclave sterilization

  • Can interchange with other disposable air water syringe tips that do not require a proprietary air water syringe adapter.

    CONS

  • Studies have shown that patient blood and debris collects on the inside of metal air water syringe tips because of "suck-back" when air water syringe buttons are released. This debris gets baked on the micro lumen tubing inside the air water syringe tip and may clog the tip, or get blown into next patient's mouth.

  • Requires sterilization after each use.

  • Metal edges cause excessive wear and tear on O-Rings.

  • Expensive, are often lost down sink drains, or accidentally thrown away.
