SANI-TIP® VS STARZ TIPZ

YOU HAVE SELECTED

AIR WATER SYRINGE ADAPTER REQUIRED

SANI-TIP®

  • Water comes out of the center channel and air out the six surrounding chambers and only comes in clear finish.

  • Sani-Tip's proprietary air water syringe adapter must be loosened and tightened on the removal and the insertion of air water syringe tips.

  • After loosening air water syringe adapter, air water syringe tip is inserted and is supposed to seat firmly on the air water syringe adapter protrusion. Incorrect seating leads to leakage. Note: no seal at the point of contact to separate air/water.

  • Air water syringe tip must be double checked to ensure it is properly seated into air water syringe adapter, or it can blow out during use.

    PROS

  • Has separate dental air and dental water channels to prevent leakage.

  • You can visually see the dental air chamber to assure there is no water in it.

    CONS

  • Leakage is, by far, the most common complaint. This is primarily caused by improper insertion of the air water syringe tips, because of the way it is installed. If not "seated" and tightened just right, water easily escapes and contaminates the dental air channels.

  • It is one of the most expensive air water syringe tips on the market.

  • After irrigation, it is common for users to blow out the water (usually on patient bib, wall, floor or spitoon) to clear the air lines before proceeding to get dry air.

  • Sani-Tip® is made from poly-carbonate plastic, making the air water syringe tip very rigid.

  • Any pressure put on air water syringe tip will pop tip from it's connection in the air water syringe adapter. This leads to loose air water syringe tips, leaking issues, and patient safety concerns.
